ANNOUNCEMENTS
I’m excited to announce the publication of Snapdragon: The World War II Exploits of Darby’s Rangers and Combat Photographer Phil Stern. He began writing his wartime memoirs when he returned to the U.S. after re-injuring his wounds during the invasion of Sicily. Hollywood soon came calling keeping him busy along with a big family to take care of and the manuscript was put aside for nearly 70 years. in 2014 Phil asked me to organize an exhibit of 95 of his photographs to donate to the West LA Veterans Home for his 95th birthday. While digging around his archives I came across the crumbling manuscript. He gave me his blessing to get it published just before his passing that December. I took up where he left off and after 74 years, Snapdragon has finally been published on May 22, 2018. Available on Amazon and bookstores.
*Check out my Facebook Author page which has updates, photos, excerpts from the book and extra stories about Phil and the Rangers that didn’t make it in.
