Liesl Bradner is an award-winning Los Angeles based journalist and writer.The Pennsylvania native graduated from Florida State University and studied English Literature at the
University of Cambridge in England.

Since 2008 she has been a regular
contributing writer and editor for The Los Angeles Times covering art, books, photography, history, travel and entertainment.  Her work has also appeared in The New Republic, The Guardian,  Truthdig,Variety, WWII Magazine and several other publications.

She’s interviewed hundreds of artists, actors, authors, politicians
and photographers including Sebastião Salgado, Matt Weiner, Phil Stern,  Bert Stern, Steve Shapiro, Nick Brandt,  Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, Neil Leifer, Lawrence Schiller, Catherine Opie, Chuck Close, Tim Roth, Hugh Hefner, Larry Fink, Benedikt Taschen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Leonard Nimoy and former secretary of state Madeleine Albright.

She wrote, directed and produced the short film, “My Father’s
Eulogy.” More recently, Liesl penned photographer Phil Stern’s biography
for Taschen’s limited edition book, Frank Sinatra Has a Cold (2015) and the 10,000 word writers room essay for Matthew Weiner’s Mad Men. (Taschen, 2016)
